Three people were killed Wednesday morning when a car veered off a road and plowed through a 24-hour McDonald's restaurant in Mount Ephraim, N.J.
According to police, the accident happened around 4:20 a.m. The car was traveling on Prospect Ridge Boulevard when it crossed the McDonald's front lawn, went through the front window, the Playland area and the seating area, and stopped near the rear drive-through window inside.
Police said three employees were dead, and the driver was in a local hospital with minor injuries.
The accident forced police in Camden County to close one lane of traffic in the area.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
