Toronto – A man who was stabbed outside of a Scarborough McDonald’s drive thru last week has succumbed to his injuries.

Toronto Police have identified the victim as 22-year-old Tyler McGill.

A post-mortem examination Saturday determined Tyler McGill died from a stab wound to the chest.

McGill died Friday from his injuries after spending several days in hospital in critical condition.

The incident occurred on July 29, around 3:30 a.m., near McCowan and Eglinton. Staff Sgt. Tim Burrows said McGill was in a car in the restaurant’s drive-thru when he was approached by the two suspects. They allegedly banged on his car until he got out and confronted them.

McGill was then reportedly stabbed four times.

The Toronto Police homicide squad has now taken over the investigation.

Two Toronto men have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and weapons-related offences. Azard Mohammed, 45, and Danny Mohammed, 19, are in custody awaiting a Tuesday court appearance.
