| This site is awesome, I actually googled "list of murders at McDonalds" and found this. Fascinating. Growing up, we had a playground that included pieces from the San Ysidro McDonald's Playplace. Apparently it had been donated when the building was destroyed following the massacre. I'd never heard the full story behind it until now. This site is one of the reasons I love the internet. |

| Wow, I hav friends that live in Kenosha, I remember hearing about this awhile ago, and only tonight I saw it on a documentary.....I find it ironic that this world is so small, and I find it non surprising considering the violence that goes on in our world as well.....My first job was working at McDonalds when I was 15, I worked there for 4 years total....one of the best jobs ever, I am now 28. Even tho I no longer wrk 4 McDOnalds, I still enjoy the wonderful food.....RIP to those who lost their lives August 10th 1993

| as we speak i am currently an employee at mcdonalds, sure i met good ppl and made close friends, learned a couple of skills here and there.. but trust me it's not worth it... i started at 15 as a student and right away you have to sign a page saying your gonna work backshift at least one weekend a month (ps. back shift is from 11pm-7am friday AND sat.) on top of that the weekly closing shift is at 11pm.. for a student thats rediculous i get up at 6am for school..by the time i calm my self down and relax from work it's at least 12 before i sleep... stupid. aswell forget about raises .. you start at minimum wage no dought and you get 1 raise a year.. and yeah it's around the same time minimum wage goes up..so you go from minimum wage to ... minimum wage.. the only real raise i got is when i turned 18.. also apparently they can schedual you a shift 8 hours after your last.. so you might have a shift from 4-11pm after school on a friday and open at 7am on sat. till 2pm .. thx mcdonalds it's been a pleasure... | While i'm not sure I agree with the premiss of the site funny or not, I am shocked that Mcdonalds would attempt to extort money from you. This must be common. I doubt Mcdonalds is afraid of you suing them but i guarantee your average american would be afraid of a gigantic corporation suing them or attempting to extort money. There needs to be laws taking ability to incite fear into account. It may not be alot but your domain is not there's and their attempt to extort it is or should be illegal. whether their accusations have merit or not.

| I just read the letter from Melissa Rose sent to you about her father's murder in Macon,Ga. As her father, Steve Rose, and an employee Rick Kea were leaving McDonalds after closing they were attacked by two men in the parking lot. Rick was killed immediately and Steve ran across the parking lot down beside a building across the street, where he was gunned down. It is shocking that McDonalds did nothing to help Steve and Rick's families and waited 3 months to send them a condolence note. They never helped Mrs. Rose at all in raising her fatherless children and I feel McDonalds was extremely cruel to this family. I urge everyone to boycott McDonalds, I will never again stop there and will urge all my real estate customers to boycott McDonalds. |

| Im disgusted to read the entry from the woman whos father was murdered at the McDonalds in Macon GA. My kids eat there on occasion. I try to keep them off the stuff {like its a drug...} If not only because I dont want them to become giant fat asses! | I was in the McDonald's when the shooting began,I had turned six years old just 10 days before.I played dead after the I saw the pools of blood and shattered glass everywhere. It was traumatic for me for years after.I was so happy the "old McDonald's" got torn down. This kind of thing can sometimes take years to recover from, some people never heal. I'm glad after many years,I was finally able to move on with life. I thank the sniper that killed the man that is responsible for this tragedy!

| I recently was attacked by a McDonalds employee while trying to keep this indivdual from assulting his girlfriend in the parking lot right outside the front door in view of the employees and managers.This McDonalds employee continued to pursue me into the resturant threatening to beat me up etc.When asking the McDonalds manager to please call police I was ignored and was offered no assistance in notifying the authorities.There should be no delay in responding and reporting violent attacks on McDonalds property.Its time to send a message to Corporate McDonalds that the safety of there patrons should be a higher priority than there profits.

| Wow. This site is horrible. I witnessed a horrific crime at a McDonalds where I worked. A coworker and friend was shot and killed. I am a manager and could not do anything to stop the situation from occuring. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STORE. The man had a motive and knew what he wanted and that was my coworker dead. It could have happened anywhere. Was to goal of creating this website to hurt more people? Because acting like any murder is a joke is absolutely cruel. I'm glad you got a chuckle out of this. This was my defining moment to join law enforcement. 20 years later I'm about to get an award for my service to my department. I found this site researching why I chose such a difficult career field. I've had countless calls, many injuries, boken bones and many chances to save lives since then. Trust me, not everyone is as dumb as you are and needs this fact explained. | No offense to the webmaster but I view this is a very abstract website. My father is the v.p. of a very large McDonalds franchise and they have had 1 homicide in the history of their franchise that isn't in the timeline on your website. Believe it or not, the owner/operator collected donations and himself contributed over $100,000 US dollars to the family of the victim who resided in mexico. Needless to say, human nature is to blame for the majority of these incidents. It doesn't matter where a crime takes place, but rather who it is that is commiting the crime. You can't blame Mcdonald's for random acts of crime or crimes of passion, which are the majority of which have been outlined on your timeline. Negligance, on the operators part, is a different story. Less than 10% of McDonalds are owned by Mcdonalds corporation. The rest are partnerships, and I bet nearly 100% of negligance in any of these cases were due to a partner's action vs. the McDonalds corporation itself. The short of the long is, it's very easy to point fingers. I could point the finger at anyone about what is wrong in my life, your life, the world, but only god can make the judgement which determines who is responsible for all the grizzly crimes you have timelined here. I have no beef involving your timeline and your right to free speech or parody, but why would you parodize something as cold-blooded at murder? What does a hamburger, ronald mcdonald, or a swirly ice cream cone have to do with something so irreplaceble as a human life? I'd normally gawk at a website like this but being closely involved with an incident of the likes which are on display here hits really close to home. Have fun with your website, just remember that its people, rather than a corporation, that commit murder. |

It really happened and 19 yr. old Michael Tunstall was my baby brother. He was my only brother. So as far as this incident yes it is true but I can only speak on behalf of this murder not the others.

| Are the statistics on your page labeled as such the only ones you have compiled that support your claim? I ask this because the statics you use do not bring into consideration a number of different concepts that your team has completely over looked. For example, one hugely important statistic is the ratio of McDonald's to people. these ratios are as follows (# of McDonald's/# of people), Sacramento, CA = .00008, Los Angeles, CA = .0001, Newark, NJ = .0004, and New Your City = .0004. All four of the cities have roughly the same number of people to McDonald's, although it is true that Los Angeles has a higher number of McDonald's per capita New York and Newark have about the same amount. Additionally the number of murders should be compared to the number of other violent and nonviolent crimes to see if murder is significantly higher that those other crimes in the same city as well as others. Also, there is a gap in your statics since the murder statics you are using are from 1995 as compared to the number of McDonald's, which is probably no earlier than 2002 when your website went up. This disalignment in your years provides problems since during the mid '90's America was at the height of a crime epidemic, this is of all crimes not just murder. If you continue to look at historical trends then you will also see that crime rates went down a significant amount in the later part of the '90's, while conversely the number of McDonald's increased. Your statics, aside from the number of flaws i just mentioned, are only limited to 4 cites as well, this by no means represents a valid selection for scientific analysis. Why are you not including more cities, such as Chicago or Miami which both have high murder rates, or even any international locations? I have an elaborate camera system set up in my home for personal reasons and while viewing the tapes one night, I found something shocking. I remembered the first incident happened shortly after I had a bite of my first Big-Mac. I have not been able to stop eating McDonalds for less than a day; everytime I've gone running right back. I took a Big-Mac to my local *ahem* chemist friend for some tests and what he found was startling. Laced in the Big-Mac are also traces of Zinceythlchloride; better known as, mind-control serum. Since this new development, I haven't been able to rid myself of the McDonald's monkey and haven't been able to figure out much more how, or why, I have left my home in the middle of the night on these occasions; but I do have more information. I recieved a second job and decided to lower my availability at mcdonalds. The morning I told the hear manager that i couldnt work saturdays, she was very angry telling me that she couldnt trust me. When i was washing dishes outback, she came to talk to me about my new job, at this time she help a box cutter to my neck and questioned me about my motives. I went into shock and acted completely normal I later went on back and called my mom from my car, she called the cops and they both, the cops and my parents, came to the store where i walked out and never returned. BUT, though you will need to comply with MCD's and remove their logos, trademarked characters and indicia, you can refer to any McDonalds product and show images of them. You can show your own photos of the stores and their signage. And you can display your own images of their licensed characters. You must put a legal indicia somewhere on your page (like "XXXX is a registered TM and (c) of MCD's Inc.). And, you really do not need to release the domain to them. There is no way that your site name is in any way owned by them, or that you are in anyway violating (c) by owning it and making it accessible to the public. No. They would have to prove that the domain name has some usefulness or benefit to McDonald's corporation, and that potential customers might enter that domain name expecting to find something about McDonald's itself. Fat chance of that happening with 'mcmurder.com'. It's not even remotely comparable to someone starting up a FordAutomobiles.com domain, as an example. Ford MoCo could have reasonable claim on that. This has no inherent similarity other then the Mc at the beginning, which begs one to ask the question- is McDonald's going to start copywriting half the names in the Dublin, Ireland phone book? Try this- sell the domain to a gansta rapper named M.C. Murder. Surely there's at least one out there with that name. I am a libertarian socialist (also known as an anarchist) who is fully against all corperate crime, and aware of the reality behind conspiracy theories linked to the goverment, the state, and multi-national corperations. I do not dismiss conspiracy theories for insane idea's or leftist dillusions, as I personally believe there is enough evidence to prove many of them right. It is evident that the 'corperate' states of America may well be responsible for 9/11, which is an event that has gained the Bush administration popularity, economic stability, excessive amounts of support and money, and an excuse to invade all oil producing countries. Bush's energy policies (killing thousands by the year) are a more effecting way of keeping the population at a halt. But Ronald McDonald commiting the odd murder every now and then would not really effect the population. Don't you think that the food they serve is doing its job of killing just fine?. The answer for McDonalds being so close to homicide scenes is down to the fact that McDonalds are almost everywhere, and in America murders are almost everywhere.
