Lakewood -- A worker at the McDonald's on Sloane Avenue was shot in the head and killed Saturday morning by a man who fled the restaurant and later surrendered after a brief standoff, according to police.

Capt. Ed Hassing said Robert Joslin, 26, of Lakewood, was slain in an apparent dispute by Nathaniel Williams Jr., 22, of Cleveland, who has a record for domestic violence. The two knew each other, police said.

Hassing said Joslin had called police about Williams being in the restaurant, but was shot before officers arrived.

He said Williams was spotted by police on a railroad trestle over the Rocky River about a half-mile from the restaurant. Police took him into custody.

Williams will be charged Monday, police said
