One woman is dead after a car veered out of control Friday morning.

It happened just after 8:30 in Sturgis, Michigan. Police say the driver of the car had a seizure of some kind.

His vehicle ended up in the McDonald’s drive through and struck a 60-year-old Sturgis woman and a 36-year-old man.

The vehicle then went down an embankment, across the corner of another parking lot and then up another embankment before finally coming to rest after hitting some trees.

The pedestrian killed has been identified as 60-year-old Mary VanDosen of Sturgis.

The other pedestrian hit is in stable condition.

The driver of the car has been treated and released from the hospital.
